Public Workshop #1

Monday, June 1, 2026  |  5:30-7:00pm

Rock Hill Bake House, 18 Curran Lane, Glens Falls, NY

The East End Rising project invited community members to participate in its first public workshop, which took place on Monday, June 1st from 5:30-7:00PM at Rock Hill Bakery. The kickoff event took the form of a “Presentation Night,” offering a unique and interactive platform for local voices to shape the conversation around the future of the East End.

Community members were encouraged to attend and listen to presentations on various topics of community interest. Presentations explored neighborhood priorities, local history, economic opportunities, housing, infrastructure, arts and culture, and other issues relevant to the East End. Each presentation was approximately 7-10 minutes, followed by a 3–5-minute question-and-answer session to encourage dialogue.

The workshop was designed to foster an open and inclusive environment where residents, business owners, and stakeholders could contribute their perspectives and help inform the direction of the East End Rising project. Input gathered during the session helped guide future planning efforts and identified key themes, opportunities, and challenges within the community.
